Had a blast. Linked up with some old friends and met some new ones.
The Supernormal Band. Local original Thrash Metal band. Featuring lead guitarist from The Nocturnal Embrace, Brandon "Fuck" Flynn (dude on mike). 🤘🔥🤘:
Leviathan. Cover band. Normally I hate cover bands, but this band has a front lady with a voice and a lead guitarist who is a riffmaster. I keep telling them they're too good for covers. Hopefully they'll do original stuff soon:
The Nocturnal Embrace. Local original Black Metal band. Love these assholes. They had a new song, can't remember the name though. Think it was either infernal or inferno. Anyways they was brutal as always. 🤘🔥:
Code Black. Coverband. I didn't like them. Their 1st 3 songs had this mid 80s Bay Area Punk vibe, but then they started doing light stuff to which they didn't had the voice for. Dude was struggling with Paradise City. Almost ruined the vibes for me but their "Killing In The Name Of" cover that they ended on was good:
Was the price worth the admission, no. $100, $120 by the door, is too much for 4 bands, let alone 2 Original and 2 Covers. The lime, however, was good. Drank and hang out with the bands and other people during the after party. Was headbanging to Supernormal and The Nocturnal Embrace when they performed their sets. Even Leviathan had me banging for the 4 thrash metal covers they ended on in their set. Hell a set of us headbangers stayed by the stage when the concert was done and headbanged to various songs the DJ was playing. It was even someone's birthday. There was cake and thing in the after party. It was fucking awesome. Especially so given the past few years.
