Trump Will Host January 6th "Awards Gala" in September
A promotional video for the event shows Trump calling J6 rioters, "peaceful," and "J6 hostages," promising pardons, and calling for them to be released. The video has audio of Trump claiming, "There has never been a group of people treated so harshly or unfairly."
The video also states proceeds will go to a January 6th legal fund. A website promoting the event describes it as a celebration of Trump's "song" and a "tribute" to "all J6 defendants who have shown incredible courage and sacrifice." There is no word yet on what "awards" will be handed out at the January 6th "awards gala" and if it will be limited to just Trump's song with Capitol rioters.

He's still pissed they stole his grammy. Just like they stole his nobel, and his oscars, and his emmy, and his throne. I do trust that all proceeds will go directly to trumps j6 legal defense, though.

They need to be happy we have the rule of law, which they themselves tried to overthrow.
To repeat, the USCP had every right to open fire that day, and in my opinion should have. Fuck the optics. These assholes need to know that insurrection carries consequences.

I got pushback elsewhere for saying the same thing. If this had happened in Los Angeles, there would have been more casualties. It wouldn't have taken long for the stupid to stop. I don't condone needless killing, and the LAPD has issues, for sure. But any officer getting sprayed with mace or attacked with a metal object has a right to defend themselves. I'm astonished that the police in DC didn't.
