RE: Veganism
Am I the only one who wondered whether those "burnt offerings" weren't actually scarfed up as damned good barbecue?

Sounds like a good way for otherwise-useless priests to have a good meal at least once a week.

Well, as I recall, scripture does state that YHWH does like the aroma, which implies to me that the writer(s) enjoyed it, so you may be on to something.

Theists accept the incompetence of a god but will not accept the same from a fellow human.

Don't even get me started on the scale of the processing and distribution operations in the temple complex. Something like a modern sports stadium for all intents and purposes devoted to a perpetual bbq. You'd be worried as shit if, as a believing person, the primary occupation of your priestly class was a thing that the gods they served wasn't keen on.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Of course not. Don't be stupid.

Okay, so you get to define what the words Good and Evil mean. You get to live in any way you see fit, but it seems that you are fine with accepting the consequences of your actions. But you also believe that you deserve to live in a perfect world. Well, would if you had to share this perfect world with many other people who are just like you. What do you think the consequences of that would be?

Follow up question, do you have any kids?

This god thing is not worthy of my attention

Who told her not to eat from the tree?

Isaiah 53:2 Admittedly I did paraphrase this one a bit. "he had no form or majesty that we should look at him,

and no beauty that we should desire him." From the ESV.

Do you believe Adam and Eve had any free choice to be forced into life only to encounter the serpent to fuck them up?

Did the serpent have the knowledge of good and evil @h311inac311?

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made.”

Adam did not choose to be born, that decision was made for him by his Father who wanted to have a close and intimate relationship with him.
Also, Adam did have a choice of weather or not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil. Why would Adam need to know Evil (also meaning destruction) if God wasn't going to allow anything Evil to ever happen to him?

The serpent is a bit more mysterious, we believe that he is a fallen angel but that isn't something that I can support with a chapter and verse reference. What we do know is that the serpent had one simple objective, ruin God's perfect plan by leading men into sin. What we know for sure about the serpent is this, it knew what God's commandment was and it wanted to see if it could find a way to make God's people choose to dis-obey him.

Who would you guys choose to follow?
Would you have eaten the forbidden fruit?

Sheldon, was I arguing in favor of eating meat or against it?

To explain my argument a little further we ask the vegan if it is okay for a Lion to hunt a Gazelle, if this is true then why can't humans do the same?

To further the argument we could ask if it is okay for a Grizzly bear to hunt as well. Seeing as how they can live their whole lives eating nothing but vegetables but prefer to hunt and eat meat because it is both a fun and tasty thing to do.

Will they morally condemn the behavior of the Grizzly? Or give humans a separate responsibility?

(Bold mine)

Where is this permission ‘expressly’ granted? Chapter and verse, please.

Boru

Genesis 18:7-8 RSV

"And Abraham ran to the herd and took a calf, tender and good, and gave it to the servant, who hastened to prepare it. Then he took curds and milk, and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree while they ate."

Genesis 9:3 RSV

"Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; and as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything."

To be fair, this isn't directly after Adam and Eve ate of the fruit, but after the Flood of Noah.

It might make sense if we are to suppose that God has quite a lot more to deal with than humans do, and is thus more prone to error than humans would be, being responsible for so much more stuff. But that's tenuous at best.

If every moving thing that lives shall be food for you, doesn't that allow for cannibalism?
