The reason the Kingsmen’s version of “Louie Louie” sounds the way it does is because it was recorded in an ultra-cheap recording studio. How cheap? Apparently, there were three mics in the whole studio and, either in an extremely crude attempt at Steve Albini-style faux-live recording or just being that cheap, they couldn’t spare one for the vocalist. Jack Ely was just standing on tiptoe, trying to shout into a boom mic. Also, he was wearing braces at the time, which evidently hampered his performance.

Some Zoomers apparently so far up their own ass that they actually want the Hays Code to return.
Fun fact: my favourite film made under the Hays Code is Night of the Hunter, and there's a lot of moments where I can tell that Charles Laughton is blatantly constrained by the Code:
Things like:
- The "That Body Was For Begettin' Children" scene would (if it had been allowed to follow the original book) have involved Shelley Winters stripping, and I think this added shaming would have made the scene more impactful.
- The scene where Willa Harper witnesses Harry Powell threatening Pearl, saying "You tell me, you little wretch, or I'll tear your arm off!" You just know he wanted to call her a bitch
- Or, for that matter, the fact that they had to do whatever was possible to divorce Powell's ideology from ANY recognisable form of Christianity just to get the movie made.

Fun fact: apparently, there are some teachers who have trouble with the name “Nora.” (Yes, according to the pinned comment, that’s the actual name at stake in this scenario. Not something really long or exotic, just a simple two-syllable, four-letter name that’s currently the 25th most popular girls name in the US)

Interesting story, but why I'm not sure what the connection is to the food crime video.

Actually back this up a day.
I knew that my twin aunt and uncle were a surprise as twins were pretty rare and the family was expecting baby number 5 - not 5 and 6 at the same time.
My aunt said no one was more surprised than the doctor who delivered them (at home, of course.)
Then she added a little nugget that I didn't know...first came my uncle, then my aunt and my crazy grandfather told the doctor to sew grandma up quick because they didn't need any more. smh - he was something else.

Dr. McCoy’s original nickname on Star Trek: TOS wasn’t ’Bones’, but ‘Plum’.

In World War II, a German scientist was going to implant five women with the sperm of an orangutan, in hopes of creating a hybrid. Unfortunately, the monkey died before he could do so.

Hmmm...that could have been where Trump came from. Now it makes sense.
