Its questionable who is invoking magic. Would it be more magical for a laptop to come together and assemble itself minus any plan or intent to do so? Or is it less magical if the laptop was created by intelligent autonomous beings on purpose? You won't answer the question but its obvious. It would be far more magical and unexpected if a laptop was caused by some unheard of natural process. Nothing would be more magical than if mindless natural forces that didn't intend themselves to exist, caused a universe with all the conditions to cause life to exist, caused the laws of physics we are utterly dependent on.

And apparently you didn't understand my point. You don't need carbon-based life. You don't need carbon, or even matter as we know it. If you change the fundamental constants and that gives rise to some bizarre conditions where dark matter starts to interact and that rubbish self-organizes and gains sentience then you have met all the conditions for producing a universe where something will go "Wow! Fine-tuning!" even though it's utterly hostile to you and I. Your inability to figure out how many possible combinations can produce sentience means that you have no idea what the odds are.

Your argument reduces to "Wow! Shit I don't understand! Must be magick!"

In Drew's defense, and those aren't words you'll hear me utter often, he's complete rubbish with the Quote and Reply functions. It's like BBCode is Linear B for him. I can't imagine him having the ability to deliberately alter the quote tag. It's infinitely more likely that he just bungled the reply and mangled the quote tag by accident, typing word salad in the wrong place.
