Elmo says he's gonna rename gokipedia to encyclopedia galactica, then send a copy etched in stone to the moon and mars, and beyond. I think beyond is a particularly good idea. We should do it tomorrow, he can go too.

Doesn't Douglas Adams' estate have copyright on that?

Short answer: No.

The term was first used by Asimov, so if anyone has a copyright claim, it would be his estate. If it was used by Adams without permission, and a copyright claim was never pursued, then there is no copyright.

Of course, what it really comes down to to is Musk won't care. If he gets sued over it and if they win, even if the sum is enormous, it's nothing more than a line item on his monthly bank statement.

He's used copyrighted stuff in other products. There are Tesla cars with the Ludicrous Speed and Plaid options (Spaceballs). Grok is from Robert Heinlein's novel, Stranger in a Strange Land. There is his Star Base (Star Trek) in Texas. He has spoken of building Moonbase Alpha (Space 1999) on the moon. He can't seem to get enough of sci-fi references. The copyright holders may appreciate the publicity rather than challenge his use of it.

Politicians do this all the time, using copyrighted music in campaign ads. There have been a shitload of cease and desist letters but I've never heard of any of then paying a price for it.

The telling thing about this whole thing is that the Ketamine Kid clearly doesn't understand the words 'encyclopedia' or 'galactic'.

Tesla stock has been going down lately, so Elon has been pumping out new lies and posed in the White House to remind everyone of his ties with Trump, but with not much success to rise the stock price.

He also said a few weeks ago that Tesla will be rolling out the flying Tesla car later this year, but he seems to have given up on that. Not to mention some other lies he has given up on, like that the robot taxi Tesla will be making their owners money in the off hours when they are not using it, by driving people around and charging them a fee. Or that his products will be flying people to Mars and the moon.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Besides, there are some fields where robotics is simply too far off.

Anything based on AI (like robotics and true self-driving cars) are notoriously difficult to predict future progress on (particularly timescales) because they are not classical engineering problems. There might be a breakthrough tomorrow or it might take 50 years.

Okay, that's probably overstating it but there is a poor understanding of what progress needs to be achieved and how long it will take to get there. There are AI algorithms which teach themselves and we have little understanding of how they got there. When we don't know how our own designs work, we have no basis to predict future progress on.
