The Traitors UK
(Peacock)

Twenty-two strangers compete in a series of missions for a chance to win £120k. However, amongst the players lie the 'Traitors', who meet in secret and decide who to eliminate from their fellow players known as 'Faithfuls'.

I considered checking that out, but I'd feel compelled to re-watch all the earlier seasons. I'm not that invested.

After more than two years, the recap was helpful.

I've just started watching, been meaning to for years.

Finished Six Feet Under. Not sure what to watch next and may just go back to listening to a book or two unless something really catches my attention.

Season two of The Traitors UK.

I typically don't watch reality telly. Except for Drag Race and now this game series.

Best ending to a series ever?

I finished The Doctors. It was a bit slow in the middle, but it finished strong. Glad I stuck it out.

I tried watching Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, and it was like watching cut scenes from a lame video game.

It's a caricature of a TV show. Everything is overhyped: the overacting; the story is over dramatic and makes no sense; the dialogues are as if every actor is in a movie of their own; the setting of every scene is overemphasized—like Holly Hunter goes to meet some convict in what I guess is a bar, and it's all full of shadows (because he's shadowy) while the camera is going up and down his ripped badass body, while in the previous scene she ate two ice creams in a sunny park with playful kids.

And then Holly Hunter. She's way, way too old for the part. She's playing a sexy woman although she's 67 and can barely open her eyes or her mouth, so she mumbles. It's like she'll fall apart at any moment, but they Scotch-taped her together so that she doesn't.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

But did you like it? Wink
