What the article doesn't point out is that this is The Black Strat's second time breaking the world record for most expensive guitar ever sold.

This is the guitar used on most of Pink Floyd's best work: basically, every regular electric guitar part from Dark Side of the Moon to The Final Cut, with a few exceptions

According to Gilmourish, the exceptions are a few parts on "Money" and "Brain Damage/Eclipse" where he needed access to 24 frets and not the 21 the Black Strat has, "Dogs" and "Sheep" from Animals, parts of "Another Brick int he Wall (specifically the solo of 2 and all of 3)", "Young Lust", and "Run Like Hell", and "Two suns in the Sunset" from The Final Cut.)
