Typical arguement from an athiest. I just don't understand science. Well present evidence. What evidence is there for the big bang? I saw evidence for an old universe from one person but none for the big bang. To ahead and present your case if you're so sure.

Don't try changing the subject grasshopper.

I presented evidence for an old universe, now you in turn need to produce your evidence for a young universe.....

Waiting......................

Ok finen the sun is shrinking at a rate that if you go back to 14 billion years ago the sun would almost be touching where the earth is. For carbon 14 in the atmosphere being produced and decaying it would eventually reach a state of equalibrium. Scientists estemated this to be at about 50000 years, but we're not there yet. The amount of carbon 14 is increasing. It has not had enough time to reach equalibrium. The earth is slightly slowing its rotation. If you were to go back a couple billion years the earth would have the rotation of Jupiter. This would be devastating to earths atmosphere.
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

I beg your pardon?

What exactly do you think a fucking light year is?!?!?!?!

The distance light travels in ONE YEAR.

So if the Andromeda galaxy is 2.26 million lightyears away then by definition that is how long the light takes to reach us.

Do I have to teach you the basics of astronomy as well?Angry

Assuming a few things. And the previous hypothesis would explain the distance without compromising the time.

Like what exactly?

And how precisely does it do that? In your own words please.

As I've said before, it allows those billions of years of processes to happen in hours or days as they are on earth. Allow all that light to travel billions of light years in little time relative to earth.

Why is it that I have to explain everything while everyone else when I ask doesn't explain anything? There's a double standard here. So I'll just say as everyone says to me "look it up." and you avoided my question but now I've answered yours. So, what evidence is there for the big bang?

You've trotted out some unproven, unrealistic hypothesis that does nothing to support your case.

It in fact appears to me that you have no idea of even what it is supposed to do.
So I would like to hear, in your own words, what it is and how it works.

And no there is no double standard, I've backed up all my claims.

Whereas you have not.

Because chippy you have demonstrated time and time and time and time again that you have no knowledge of what you speak about, and clearly the sarcastic remarks from a "tutor" go right over your head so one can deduce (possibly) that you are under-age either mentally or physically. You are YET to produce EVIDENCE for your claims ergo you are not of a tertiary education and have no real experience or knowledge of the real world and it's demands outside your own little pathetic tiny world.

The REAL world doesn't care what you believe chippy...get over it

That the distortion of hyperspace creates time distortion. This time distortion is different around the universe but near the center the passage of time is much slower. On the edge it is much faster allowing billions of years of time to pass in little time to us. How does this support my position? The bible says the earth was created in 6 days. This new idea allows the traveling of light across the universe in one of those days to us.
