Not if you really care about the consequences of picking that alternative, and not just rely on the happy faced faith in good things happening if you are rather be true to your whims and be disciplined in your plans.

Especially if you really care about the consequences of not picking that alternative: the collapse of the American empire and centuries of abject poverty and misery for your grandchildren.
