I'm on my way to hell, Care to join me?

Do you really expect us to fall to our knees and worship just because you said so?

Why should I throw away hundreds of years of scientific reaserch, evidence and study and dismiss all those thousands of scientists just because you say so? It seems extremely illogical and a very idiotic thing to do.

So you come and claim without any evidence and expect us to abandon all that work and knowledge just because of some book that is loaded with contradictions and blood?

if you got no evidence for your claims and attack something that has tons of evidence there will be only one outcome. Defeat.

So, I'm going to give you the chance to convert me. But first you must answer why I should throw away all that knowledge built up from many hundreds of years from countless scientists. why should I ignore all that evidence and go for something that has no evidence at all and has been wrong countless times in the past?
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Dear Ace

Let me clarify: Do not throw away scientific progress. I support evolution and have studied radioactive decay, chaos theory, advanced calculus... I love logic and reason, and I believe that this is partly why I was a rational atheist even in this year.
The bible contains essential spiritual truths on how you may be saved.

Ok, so you admit there's scientific evidence for evolution. So provide me scientific for God please.

God is a myth and hell is the place invented by the myth makers to scare you into believing in him.

Until ManofGod truly sees evidence as important, we can't discuss properly with him. Step one his he needs to display evidence, he needs to prove God, we don't need to disprove him. Until he displays evidence, we can't discuss.
Step 1. Theist must provide evidence.
Step 2. A. If the evidence is proper evidence, we can discuss. B. If the evidence isn't proper evidence we have to go back to step 1 again.

Evolution is a theory, the name rightly suggests that it is not proved. There is not a great volume of factual basis for evolution. As an example there are no transitionall fossils proving animals ever evolved. It is just an idea. Believed on a faith basis.

Even if it were a true theory it does not discount the possibility of God, if we exist it is possible a more highly scientifically advanced being exists than us. This makes more sense as there are no transitional fossils for animal evolution on earth.

But if only you knew how much God actually cares for you you would not be so quick to discredit God. I hope you reconsider my stories of God predicting future events, and speaking to me in measurable ways. As another example of such a story:

I was working on the computer one day and I was told that "Steve Erwin" would die, and I should contact him and share the gospel with him. I was a bit afraid so did not do it as "Steve Erwin" was a famous person in our country and cold calling was not a specialist activity of mine. A few months latter Steve Erwin was attacked by a sting ray and died, as I was told he would.

Evolution is not a "theory". It is a scientific theory. There is a *massive* difference. A scientific theory is not just something people come up with by pulling our their arse; it's an explanation of facts. We have the facts, that animals change, that mutations occur, that things adapt. These are observable facts and are not in question. The theory is the explanation of how these facts take place.

Please can you explain what you mean by "transitional fossil"? Most of the time people ask for something that is impossible because they don't understand the theory. For example, there are no transitional fossils of a rabbit turning into a cow because the theory of Evolution doesn't say this happened. So please, what transitional fossil would you like to see, or should I simply point you to the long long list of them?

There is not a long long list of transitional forms, not one I have ever seen. As for mutations they are generally destructive, destroying the encoded information, making it less not more diverse.

Good post, apart from the details that was pretty much exactly the point I was going to make but you beat me to it Big Grin Particularly the whole "theory" thing. About how [i]there is a difference between 'just a "theory"' and a scientific theory. And of course, the whole "no transitional fossils" thing. Which is of course, utter bullshit.

Feel free to prove me wrong, but I am not seeing the mass of fossil evidence to convince me.
