RE: Magic: The Gathering
I haven't played in about a decade.

I used to collect the cards, I had a couple hundred. Never once played the game, either, because I could never find anyone who knew how to play and/or was interested in learning. I just loved the artwork and the narratives told in the flavor text.

That's half the reason I played by myself. Only played it in person (I play over Xbox Live from time to time) with someone else once....the main reason though was because I did not want to associate myself with the geeks who played it in high school.

Wow.

I'm sure they didn't want you associated with them, either.

People secure enough in their self-images not to care if they're seen playing Magic, lol.

I did; Magic the Gathering was fun, and you could play it anywhere. Like, whip out your deck and sit down and you are a wizard fighting another wizard. My favorite deck was a thalid deck. Can you guess why?

I can't imagine why. Big Grin

All-green decks were one of my favorites, along with green white.

I didn't start playing until I was in my early 30's. No, I didn't live in my parent's basement, I left home when I was 16.

Hovik really loves green. He's trying to work out a green-white deck, but I think it will turn out to be a green-blue.
