Media Endorsements of Presidential Candidates
|
The Economist, known for being right-wing but intelligent and analytical, presents a brutally honest (for the most part - there's still some BS in there) analysis and gives its endorsement (however grudging) to Obama!
The Economist endorsement

Thanks for posting, hadn't seen this one. Former Hillary Clinton aide backs Romney “For most of my life, I’ve been an active Democrat. I am proud to have worked for President Bill Clinton and then-Senator Hillary Clinton, and, during that time, I saw firsthand what can be accomplished by strong, bipartisan leadership. I know what it means to work across the aisle on issues that are important to the American people. And that’s why I am supporting Mitt Romney. Governor Romney has a plan to restore the prosperity this country deserves and expects. He will work with people of good will no matter what their party, and he will pursue the policies that are in the best interest of our country, no matter who proposes them. That’s what President Obama promised to do four years ago. But like so many of his promises, bipartisan cooperation is just another one he has broken. We can’t have four more years of failed policies and two parties that can’t work together. We need the change Mitt Romney is offering.” http://www.politico.com/blogs/burns-habe...48251.html
The NY Daily News endorses Mitt Romney for president
" Four years ago, the Daily News endorsed Obama, seeing a historic figure whose intelligence, political skills and empathy with common folk positioned him to build on the small practical experience he would bring to the world’s toughest job. We valued Obama’s pledge to govern with bold pragmatism and bipartisanship. The hopes of those days went unfulfilled." http://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/choic...z2BG2LaQnq

Of course the military cocksuckers want Romney.

Finally someone intelligent on the other side to argue with over politics. Tino, tell me, how do you sleep at night as a conservative? Look at the company you have to keep - tea baggers, right-to-lifers, gay-bashers, war hawks and Xtian fundamentalists. All for the sake of voting for someone who will help you to keep more of what's yours while turning a blind eye to the needs of society as a whole. It is clearly an issue of values not smarts. But how to hell did your values get so fucked up?

I have the poor people lie down on the floor, usually 5 or 6 in a row, and then put the box spring on top of them, then the mattress, then me. If I disagree with you politically it must be that there's something wrong with my values. |
