Was at least the first life form created?

I think I have said before that I am not trying to convince anyone here to accept creation or anything else. So why do you insist that this is some sort of argument?

I think I alluded to my reasons in previous posts. The resurrection of Jesus is the answer. I believe it happened. Could I provide proof enough to convince you? I seriously doubt it and, again, that is not what I am here for. There is so much that has been written for and against the resurrection that one could not scratch the surface here. But prove the resurrection did not happen and you will prove Christianity false. So research it for yourself. If you conclude, or have already concluded, that the resurrection did not happen, I understand your position on everything else.

Any other questions? I will try not to dodge any more, but seriously, I think you need to loosen up.

I'm pretty sure I speak for all atheists here when I say that none of us believe that the resurrection happened. It would be quite contradictory for us to believe so in my opinion, but then I suppose you could believe in "miracles" and not in God; it's just that I've never come across an atheist who does Wink

In answer to the question about Creationism. There is no reason to believe it happened. The Bible makes several claims about the creation, most of which can be tested. When we test them, the results do not point towards creation at all, but rather to natural processes like evolution. Present evidence that creation happened, and the scientific community would listen. All you are doing so far is making an assertion. As the popular phrase goes..."we have the fossils, we win".

I would be quite shocked if it were otherwise.

And I do not think I said otherwise. So, if it makes you feel better, I'll say it too..."you win"!

Congratulations!! Wink

It might make you laugh, but it's perfectly true. The fossil evidence for evolution is vast (despite what creationist websites try to tell you). Of course, genetics is far better evidence for evolution, but the fossils still play a key role.

Indeed. Evolution can even make predictions. If certain fossils suggest an in between species at a certain time in the rock strata, they have gone looking for them and actually found them. That's how wonderful the theory of evolution is. Big Grin
