Sinful Believers Wearing Their Sins

Yes, we're sinners and hypocrites. We admit that - that's why we need a savior.
Quote:Proverbs 23- Saying 16 Ho hum.....
Oh c'mon, it's just a metaphor.
Or some shit. (October 28, 2013 at 2:14 pm)Drich Wrote: Do you have book Chapter and verse that Identifies 'gluttony' as a sin? Gluttony is also defined as "greedy or excessive indulgence". http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/gluttony Don't let your ignorant word comprehension slow you down. Gluttony is an idol. Idolatry is a sin. If one puts ANY earthly thing before god then he will inherit only punishment. Do you not know that your body is a temple....yadda yadda yadda. I'm sure the holy spirit just loves the donuts, burgers, cakes, fries, hot dogs, cheese, on and on and on... Galatians 5:19-21 ESV Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Isn't it only 'sinners' who wont inherit the kingdom of god?) Proverbs 23:20-21 ESV Be not among drunkards or among gluttonous eaters of meat, for the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and slumber will clothe them with rags. (sure the above verse talks about the fiscal impact of over-indulging, but it clearly also lumps the two together into the same category). Seriously Drich, there are a fuckton of bible quotes that allude to the fact that ALL forms of gluttony are sin, and unfortunately I'm running out of pages to quote ever since I stopped buying toilet paper.
I didn't know gluttony was in the Bible - thanks guys. I did specifically mention the seven deadly sins which is not in the bible but:
"The seven deadly sins, also known as the capital vices or cardinal sins, is a classification of vices (part of Christian ethics) that has been used since early Christian times to educate and instruct Christians concerning fallen humanity's tendency to sin. In the currently recognized version, the sins are usually given as wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony." From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_deadly_sins It seems there are some things that are in Christianity that do not come directly from the Bible.

Christians and non-Christians are all the same. We've even all admitted our weaknesses - how congenial of us. Now, let's do away with the "You are all going to hell unless you believe like me" nonsense, shall we?
