I have never had a nickname in real life.
My ignore list

I'm called Kajsu by my parents.
My sister calls me Line (pronounced lee-nuh).
Kai by most of my friends from high school, since there was another Kaisa in my class.
Kay or Kaye around these parts.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I don't acknowledge nicknames, but for my userhandles, or shortenings thereof (rex calls me c, I call her rex, etc).
As a kid, my PE teacher called me Big C.

I wouldn't even know where to start listing them all... I guess the most common ones are Bec, rex, buddy, luvbug, sweetie, my sister calls me "big sister", and my mom calls me "spaghetti". I'm big nickname-giver too.

That's what

A couple of friends call me Tonus. No other nicknames.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

People called me "Darla" in middle school. I had the same hair color, wore glasses and a jacket at all times, and spoke in a monotone.

Line is a pretty name. It's so delicate.
Most call me "tomo" because it's easier than trying to pronounce my full name. (Though it's only one more syllable, so, like, wtf?) On irc / chat I'm called Mth, for much the same reason.
