Ooh. They had a segment on Cate Blanchett on 60 Minutes so now I want to see that.

She was excellent in the film. But then I always think that of Cate Blanchett.

I think the last one I watched was The Haunting in Connecticut, which was very good. The movie spent so much effort in developing the characters and their plight that it seemed less like a ghost story and more like a dramatic film. I think the cop-out ending hurt the film, though. It would've been a much stronger film with a more lasting impact if they'd let the story conclude in the more obvious way.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

But it had Jennifer Lawrence so it was awesome! Would have liked some nude scenes or something though. Wish I would suck her ass!Worship

Watching more Blue Planet. I think I have a new animal on my list of favorite animals. The Sailfish. It's awesome.

Last movie I watched, 'Her,' in theaters. LOVED IT! It isn't for everyone, but it was extremely clever and well acted. Joaquin Phoenix plays a bit of a weirdo, although, he is quite the sexy nerd. Big Grin Keep an open mind, you will enjoy it.

Mindhunters (2004), about a group of FBI agents who want to become profilers, and find out one of their own is a serial killer. Pretty good concept. A couple of good actors. It's not a great film, but it's not bad either.

The Stuff (1985), about a mysterious substance that is sold as a food product all over the country that is alive and has mind-controlling powers. I actually think with a few changes (including a way better title), a remake could do pretty well.

I tried to watch Tim Burton's Ed Wood, but it was super depressing, and I knew it wouldn't get any better because Ed Wood NEVER made a good movie. So I stopped watching halfway through.

I tried to watch Fundamental (2012), but nothing happened for the first 30 minutes of the movie and then when the religious zealots finally started killing people I realized I already knew everything that was going to happen in the movie, and then I didn't want to watch it anymore.

Oblivion. A well-crafted sci-fi thriller that delivers on its promise. I really enjoyed it.

I just finished watching the originalRobocop. I wanted to see it before I go to see the new one. It was cheesy, but I liked it.
