Why is evolution hiding?
RE: Why is evolution hiding?
Michael, medicines are developed the exact same way machines are developed.
By the application of human intelligence.
Leave that aspect out (which is what Darwin started out with) and you have zero development.
Your mentors have cleverly called what we do every day- "Evolution".
They lie.

Everything I needed to know about life I learned on Dagobah.

There are diseases, right now, that have evolved a resistance to antibiotics since humans started using them. They never had it before, but they have developed it in response to evolutionary selections pressures added by medicinal science.

They're called superbugs, colloquially. Perhaps you've heard of them? They're kind of a big concern in the medical community, people are dying because they do exist, and they do exist because they have evolved.

You lie.

TB is one of them. Damn buggers keep getting resistant to antibiotics, because at the rate they reproduce, genetic variation will provide for generations from those that survive better to propagate better. and this is only in the last few years, let alone bilions of years. They call themselves great because of an hypothesised god, yet, only show a limited, meek god.

"But it's always still TB!" Rolleyes

I am also surprised I went thru all these pages, got quite a few chuckles too.

At work, when a test sometimes doesn't pan out perfectly, a "performance fairy", gets to analyze the data and "Presto" all is well....... what I think we have here is the effect of a "Time fairy" weaving her magic dust into the data.

Isn't it interesting, TC, that those who accept evolution can give you reams of data and experimental evidence, and the evolution deniers only supply glib non-answers and mockery? Thinking

It's almost as if they think they can disprove a hundred and fifty years of scientific confirmation merely by laughing at it, and displaying how little they understand it in the process!

Actually I gave some book sources and a few links. THat hasn't really been my cup of tea because it can be time consuming searching through stuff.

Actually, rather than providing links I'd rather people would take the time to go through it, give me the highlights of the link, a summary, and what precisely I need to know from the link or book, rather than just citing a link or source.

Also, I believe that what you evolutionists have to say in defense of your beliefs is not stupid but something all people should know and consider.

However, I don't think Gorillas and humans have much in common. Birds, mice, and Dogs have more in Common than humans and Gorrillas.

I'm not talking about the similarity of being in the primate family. Look at how the human race lives and behaves compared to that of Gorillas and chimps. Different as night and day.

Hence, it is theory.

It's actually laboratory observable, especially with bacteria. Which is part of why we have to keep developing antibiotics.

Yes, there is a behavioral gap, I agree. But biology isn't about behavior, you're thinking of psychology. Besides, there's often vast differences in intellect between members of the same family of species; consider the difference between a pigeon and a hawk, say. Just because humans have more advanced brains than gorillas doesn't mean we don't have much in common; crack the hood, look at the study of cladistics and how scientists actually make determinations of what goes in what species classification, and you'll see there's plenty of similarities.

My favorite example is the human spinal nerves; did you know they're more suited to quadrupedal motion than upright bipedal motion? Like, say, the way gorillas walk? It's true. Wink
