I can agree with that to an extent, since organized media can never give voice to everyone. But what about the internet? Where is the "moderate muslims for peace and tolerance" youtube channel? Where are the moderate muslim blogs denouncing violent acts? Well, before i run my mouth, let me go look lol. But I won't be surprised if I don't find much. My guess is that the majority of islamic groups on the net will speak of tolerance and peace in a vague, general sense without denouncing any specific violent acts done by those we call extremists. A kind of "have your cake, eat it too" stance, if you know what i mean.

What really gets me about Muslims is that they fly into a tizzy and demand death for anyone who "disrespects" their religion. Then, these same fucktards will blow up a car bomb outside a mosque because of minor disagreements about what their own religion believes! How is blowing up OTHER MUSLIMS showing "respect" for your religion? I recall when Muslims went absolutely apeshit when a rumor surfaced that American servicemen at Gitmo flushed a Koran down a toilet (a FALSE rumor, BTW). The reason for their outrage was the "disrespect" shown to their holy book. Not too long after this, some Muslim asshole detonated a bomb in a crowded mosque. A columnist made a good point. He asked how many Korans were burnt, damaged or destroyed by the bomb blast. He then wanted to know where the outrage was for the people who "disrespected" the Koran in such a manner. These jackasses aren't even consistent in their fanaticism!

It's really too bad they backed down, but I guess it wasn't worth risking the safety of hundreds of people to make a joke. We don't need Trey Parker to be the American Theo Van Gogh.
That said, fuck those backwards oppressive psychos. I once made an afternoon out of joining Islamic outrage Facebook groups, and post ASCII stick figures labelled as Mohammed. I actually got threats and hatemail because of it.
