Perhaps I'm not the best judge, having never lost my temper to that degree online. I bow to your presumed greater expertise on meltdowns and nasty posts.

I haven't read the thread which spawned this, and it's hard to justify such a non-apology apology, still, it's kind of sad. GC may not be the sharpest stick in the bundle, but he's always been a good contributor and played by the rules. I also think it's very hard for a theist when one or more atheists get their dander up, form a posse, and start bashing on the theist for the perceived shortcomings of them and their beliefs. I've rarely been on the receiving end, but I suspect it's a lot harder being a theist than an atheist here.

Anyway, half-hoping that he returns, preferably with some genuine humility.

When I was a kid, I was taught that when you apologize for something, you accept responsibility for what you did, you express remorse, and you don't start making a bunch of excuses for your behavior. You certainly don't go on to attack the other person for over 90% of the "apology".

I guess not everyone was taught that.

Seriously GC. You argue in dishonest ways and that's why some atheists resort to name calling. It is your specialty to let a good post die, and then rely on the fact that not everyone reads the entire topic, in order to forward your arguments. You have an example right here:

I always quote chapter number verse number in case there's ambiguity. So you argue with the post I made on May 25th, and on May 29th, you say the EXACT same thing, and tell me that I should know it? Seriously, I'm being VERRRY open minded here, that I bother reading that toilet paper called the Bible and memorizing most of it. If you can't have a conversation with me you can't have a conversation with any atheist.
