I'm sure I could go on and on.......but I'd say that's plenty of motivation to act, in fact - every motivation. They didn't act on any of it, they correctly judged that it wouldn't be necessary - it's either that...or their (presumably)very expensive lawyer is a rank fucking amateur in addition to their being hypocrites. So they had every motivation to act, but correctly judged that action wouldn't be necessary. Do you seriously not see the contradiction?

Look, if you want to sound smart - red herrings, contradictions and such...l2fucking logic, firstly...and secondly, take the time to read through the damned thread.
If you want to jump in with me, don't be such a douchebag.

As long as you're clinging to scraps in my comments, as above, rather than addressing them....I see little motivation for me to change my approach. We're jumping in with each other, we each decide our own level of involvement. Claim the ground of this forum all you like - I'll simply dismiss it. Your perceived position in the conversation with regards to who's jumping in on whom is unimpressive to me. You've made your comments about my statements. I've addressed them.

Yes, because Hobby Lobby continues (remember kids, this was discovered in January) behavior that is supposedly counter to their "beliefs" when it makes them money, that has nothing to do with this lawsuit at all. Since you can't possibly be that stupid & still use an internet browser, I will have to ask you to please quit being disingenuous.

A solution that recognizes the validity of the courts ruling while compelling the claimant to act in a manner which could be seen as "in good faith" to that ruling would allow for both viewpoints to find themselves under the same tent.
IOW, if we're going to be giving out handouts, lets set some requirements - like we do with everything else. If anyone wants to see the bible I have to pour over to get exemptions on this or that law or tax (501c3 and LLC, and the permutations and allowances with regards to interactions thereoff).....I'll pm it to you. Hell, you can google it if it interests you. I live in Kentucky, I decided to be a man and incorporate there (rather than shelter my llc's assets elsewhere). Local business, local profits - so I pay the local extortionists.

One of the main reasons corporations exist is so that those who found the company, or invest in it, aren't personally responsible for the debts of the business they run, and in a lot of cases, crimes and legal violations that result from the business' operations. The whole point of incorporating is to separate the businessman from the business.
So, if businesses can adopt the "deeply-held" religious beliefs of its leadership, the compromise should be that the individuals comprising the leadership should be held personally responsible for the debts and criminal activity of their businesses.
Of course, that's not going to happen. The whole point is to allow religious individuals to operate above the laws everyone else has to follow.

To which juries have overwhelmingly (while being overwhelmingly christian, no less) replied : Rank bullshit.
I don't know why (or how), given the nature of the claim, but I'm glad that christers can summon up a little jurisprudence when it comes to their shared perversions.
