I saw this (non religious) video on Facebook and it made me angry

RE: I saw this (non religious) video on Facebook and it made me angry
I don't think either of them are wearing "suspect" clothing. Both have trimmed facial hair and look clean. Maybe it was the flock of seagulls hairstyle the second guy was sporting. I think this video was heavily edited though. They are filmed in different locations and we don't how long they were at it before the cops were called. You can clearly see people suspicious of the first guy. It ends abruptly before the police state why they were called. I'd call the cops too if some asshole sat outside my store or house setting off a car alarm.

Whether or not you like it, Drich, that is reality. Now would it always happen this way? No, of course not, but you're definitely less likely to be suspected of criminal activity if you're white in America. That is a fact.

Here is an example from New York a northern state that isn't particularly racist compared to southern states.

"In 2013, New Yorkers were stopped by the police 191,558 times.
169,252 were totally innocent (88 percent).
104,958 were black (56 percent).
55,191 were Latino (29 percent).
20,877 were white (11 percent)."

In New York in 2013, 65% of the population was white, 17% Hispanic, 15% black.

Ok but out of the times these stops were made how many arrests were made for subsequent stop?

Here's another shocking thought... What if one racial group has a tendency to be involved in more criminal activity than another?

In my fergason thread someone posted a stat that said in the state of Mo, black people were less then 20% of the total population, but were convicted of 60% of the crime. In that light, why wouldn't black people be stopped more?

Convicted as in a trial by your peers, or an admission of guilt.

Drich, what's your point? Do you think racism doesn't exist or something?

Dude, 88% were innocent. Even if every single white and Hispanic person was innocent (highly unlikely) that'd only be 40% of the arrests. That would still be most of the black people arrested being innocent also.

Why are Christians conservative or even republican? No only is conservatism non=biblical, republicans are 100% anti-Christian in their ideals.

Anyway, this only shows how deep that our culture is and how it effects ideals and perspectives.

What if???? What if you used facts and reason to inform your opinion instead of bigotry and right wing punditry? Silly me, I forgot who I was talking to. Let's just take a look at drug use.

The following quotes are from the linked article.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/09/17...41346.html
Quote:White Americans are more likely than black Americans to have used most kinds of illegal drugs, including cocaine, marijuana and LSD. Yet blacks are far more likely to go to prison for drug offenses.

So much for your racial tendency theory.

Quote:Of the 225,242 people who were serving time in state prisons for drug offenses in 2011, blacks made up 45 percent and whites comprised just 30 percent, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics.

Black Americans make up less than 13% of the population, but constitute 45% of prisoners serving time for drug offenses. Combine this with the fact that whites are more likely to use and the problem should be obvious.

If you really cared to know, information on racial disparity in our criminal justice system isn't hard to find. The truth is that you simply don't care and are more comfortable using speculative 'what if' musings to justify your bigoted view of reality. Check out the following link as just one example:

Everyone take another close look at the video. The scales are definatly tipped in the direction of raceism, but not because of what the video shows. 1 the guy is not white. he is a halfisy. 1/2 white, 1/2 asian of some kind. probably chinese. 2nd card stacked again a fair assessment is how they are dressed, as pro carrots pointed out already. number three is the 'social experement' did not take place on the same street or even the same part of town. The reason I think he is chinese is because there are several businesses with chinese writting on the door. in a couple of frames you can also determine this is a more residential part of town, as there are many apartment buildings in the area. This is a relitively 'safe area' as pictured a few families with small children walked by. So a reasonalbly well dressed halfisy, who looks like he belongs in a residential setting verses, the black guy who was in a not so friendly part of town. One he is backed up against the hollywood walk of fame, with a liquor store, pizza joint, and a bodega has his back drop. Even in the more tourist friendly part of the walk of fame you have a criminal element looking to prey on tourists. so right off people are on gaurd. Then you have 1/2 homless man breaking into a 30 to 40K car, infront of a business who's owner seems to be very opinionated in what he believes, as per all the anti social bumperstickers he has on his door. Then you have the cut away "2 mins later"... We just watched the halfisy saw on his car window for over 60 seconds. but the black guy gets 20 seconds (out of frame) as we are made to look at some due give someone/some thing the stinkeye. it is implied that he is directing his anger toward the black guy trying to open the door.. But who really knows as it was zoomed in on his face and we were not given the benfit of perspective. (Who knows it could have been a mime for all we know.) Why couldnt we see a minute or two of the crowds reaction? What happened in that two minutes that the film maker did not want us to see? was the black man confronted and tell the guy off? was the black guy offered help? Did anyone else care? If the halfisy was given a minute and we were made to watch nothing for that whole minute with him, then why couldnt we see a minute of the black guys efforts?

This lead me to believe the time frames were not being repersented here accuratly. So i went back. the lying halfesy said his whole effort span over 1/2 an hour. Not true. Watch the video especially the shadows in the purple awning and the chinese writting. the shadows migrate up and down. Meaning the editing of this video was not linear. Meaning the events did not happen in order. Not only that the shadows vary from about a foot to three feet long meaning he was there much much much longer than 30 mins. So my question is if the halfisy was there for two maybe three hours or more, to get one minute of usable footage, what happened in that lost unaccounted for time. Notice how the cop was completely disinterested? Why would an on duty officer not even look up? probably because he had already invistigated the event and was moving on, but we will never know for sure. The one thing that we can be sure of is the times are not repersented accuratly.

If the lied about the white-ish guy how do we know they are telling the truth about the black guy... Not to say racism is not a problem in America, just not in this situation as these propagandist film makers would have us believe.

This is no different that what himmler did for the Nazi's. They bent facts, cut and edited footage to push what they wanted people to believe. They changed the way the population thought, by telling them that what they were showing them was indeed the truth. However they selectivly edited the truth out and gave them their new truth-ish version. This is what has happened here...

IF raceism is as bad as these d-bags say it is then why not show the real thing?
