Jesus Fuck, not this stupid shit again. Look, I have two adult children and two grandchildren (third on the way). I do not now, nor have I ever ruled over my wife, my son does not rule over his wife and I would pay good money to see anyone attempt to rule over my daughter.
If people like you can find women to adhere to your patriarchal ideas, more power to you. Touting the law of the sea as some sort of categorical imperative is simply unjustified nonsense.

Can you try to use a real life example of where your sea laws would matter? Because I would never go on a ship that didn't have enough life boats for everyone.

Google captain coward and see what authorities and people think of him. That is a fairly recent incident.
In good times, boat sinking wise, there will be lots of seats in life boats. In poor times, you should prepare for some man to put you and your child ahead of himself and he would expect you to do your duty. If he is a moral man who knows his duty.

In any times I'm not going on a ship that doesn't have enough lifeboats for everyone. In most times I'm not going on a ship at all. I think the sea is beautiful but I start to feel terrified if I can't see land. I googled your captain, and I don't really understand what all the fuss is about. It can't be an actual law that a captain must go down with his ship? That's ridiculous.

What a crock, as a teacher of 8 years I've seen many fathers deeply devoted to their children's emotions and well being, they knew exactly how to speak to and calm their children when they were upset. Try opening up a day care facility with all male employees, or maybe just one or two male employees, and see how much business you get. Looking at a more real situation: in divorce custody disputes, why do the mothers almost always get custody of the children?
