Christians. Could you be wrong?
RE: Christians. Could you be wrong?
It is not my fault, I keep getting asked the same questions over again.

I don't know why satellites would do this, maybe you should set up a thread to address this problem.

Welp, I understand now Carm. You believe in God because of faith, and because your life would me meaningless without God. Even if every shred of evidence were to prove that your faith is demonstrably false, you would still believe.

You claim to care about truth, yet in the same breath assert nothing will ever change your mind about the God question. You claim to be open-minded yet stick your fingers in your ears when it comes to the little problem of providing evidence for your claims.

I understand now, you won't have to worry about those questions from me again.

There are bad people doing things, but there is no sin since there is no deity to sin against.

Murdering or raping are evil actions, with or without the Bible.

Working on the sabbath or not being a virgin on your wedding night, are not a bad actions, but they are sins according to the Bible.

So, if the Bible did not exist, there would be no sins. But there would still be evil actions.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

I'm rather dismayed that you don't see how insanely contradictory and dishonest that is, but eh, whatever.

You know when I say doubt my beliefs, I mean sometimes I doubt God's powers to do things, I don't doubt his existance.

I know, Carm. It doesn't change the absurdity of your position and statements.

It would be nice (and honest), from this point onwards, if you did not refer to yourself as being open minded, nor that you care about the truth.

If you were open minded, like the vast majority of atheists, you would be open to alter your beliefs if presented with evidence.

If you cared about the truth, you'd base your beliefs on evidence, not faith.
