This is a complicated matter regarding police for myself. The reason I say that is because a cop (when I was 14) actually really helped me. Another time when I was 22. But I did have one really bad experience with one in Rapid City,SD. I had the flu real bad and a really bad cough. Anyways I bought some cough medicine at a local pharmacy and put it in my center console. I then left and drove about a mile down the road and made a illegal "U" turn. Flashing lights occurred.. I pull over as usual (haha) and the first thing he does... not even telling me why he pulled me over... "Do you consent to a search of your vehicle?". At first I thought of saying "No" but was so sick and wanted to go home ASAP without any bullshit. I said "Sure! Why are you pulling me over?" "U-Turn Violation". "Please step out of your vehicle." I did and went to the sidewalk. The two officers pulled the car apart... What did they find?? Some religious crap I was studying and a bottle of cough syrup. Faster then I could explain he puts me in handcuffs. "Sir, We believe you might have other contraband.. And you look a bit messed up! What did you take?" At this point I was so angry I said "Two Tylenol and Tums!" He then says pointing the cough syrup bottle up.. "I believe you ingested this bottle" I turned and looked and said "Wow, a whole bottle of UNOPENED cough syrup!" He then looks at me strange... and boom they were gone so fast. I chuckle at this everyday. So I have a mixed opinion. But all these videos through the thread (except a few) look like brutality to me.

Well, what's really funny is that even though I would never execute a man that was trying to flee or taser an old man with his hands in the air, no police force would ever take me.
Regardless, one's willingness to do something has no bearing on their right to criticize brutality. If these were all isolated incidents, you might have a point, but clearly there are fundamental issues with how police forces in this country operate and how our justice system handles them. I would never expect someone to turn a blind eye to that simply because they weren't willing to don the blue themselves.

I've always had good personal experiences with the police. I think that has more to do with being a white woman living in suburbia than anything else. I saw a couple incidents in downtown Portland when we lived there, that looked rather like the videos here, so I know it happens. It's not that I think all police behave like those in this thread, but rather that those who do, appear to get away with it, that bothers me. No one, police in particular, should be above the law.

It is cause I'm a white male. When I'm in danger they are there faster then ever haha... If only they knew I like dude's not chicks from my outward looks.. I doubt they would run so fast. haha
