The New Atheist stuff (which most folks have recommended so far) gets pretty samey after a while. What particular topics are you interested in from an atheistic perspective? (Perhaps topics related to your deconversion?)

I'm interested in anything really, whether scientific, philosophical, or just argumentative. I am just trying to learn more to both strengthen my arguments and broaden my perspective.

Not The Bible is a fun read.  Kinda dated these days, you needed to read it during the Reagan era.

Well, do you have any particular arguments in mind that you'd like to strengthen?  (Just trying to get towards something a bit more specific - there are so many books out there relevant to atheism/religion that it is tricky to know where to start without simply giving you a long list of my personal favourites!)

Nonsense: A Handbook of Logical Fallacies by Robert J Gula will help you learn logical fallacies and how to identify them, and also basic argument in the form of syllogisms.  Not comprehensive by any means, but a reasonable place to start.

I wouldn't mind a list of your favorites. I intend to read a great many books about the subject.
