I don't care if news outlets won't call it terrorism so long as they will call it a hate crime, because there's an element of terrorism inherent to a hate crime - there's always a political reason for someone to single out a particular group of people and they're always intended to strike fear into other people in that group. If the media was portraying Roof as a one-off lone wolf then I would think differently but all bar Fox are calling it racism, and there's plenty of that in society that would've inspired him, so they are looking into the root cause of this shooting

The root cause is a racist shithead who had a gun and plenty of ammunition but what do our gallant politicians worry about? A fucking flag. Well the flag didn't shoot anyone. A gun did.
And this shit will keep happening until Americans face the problem square on. The ready access to fucking GUNS.

I guess they're switching to more achievable goals.. I wonder what they'll move on to when the bill to remove the flag gets voted down?

Yes he was a racist, and the flag should NOT be used as an issue. But to say the flag didn't shoot anyone is like saying the Koran doesn't slam planes into buildings. Both are objects, but as you indicated, access to those objects allows people to use them for violence.
I do agree we have a flooded market of guns. They are made like candy and handed out like candy.
When is the last time you spent hundreds of dollars for a piece of candy or underwent a background check to get it?
