RE: HelloAll
Hello and welcome!  I hope you enjoy your time here.

An introduction thread is not essential, though some people seem to like them.  In my case, I never did one.  I figure if anyone wants to know about me, they can click on my name and read my Bio, and they will then learn all they need to know about me.

Here's a generic welcome..

Welcome.
Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.' -Isaac Asimov-

How can an original name be misspelled?  Granted, "generic atheist" is correct, and "generic athiest" is not, but a name is a name.

RE: HelloAll
The word "Athiest" has a well defined meaning. It stands for the straw man construct religious people imagine in their fever fantasies about what nonbelievers think and do. Usually used in thread titles such as "WHY THEIR IS NO TRUE ATHIESM AND ATHIESTS HATE GOD".
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
