Journals
Does anyone read scientific journals? I wanted to start reading some, I know that sounds nerdy, but it seems useful to know what is going on in the scientific realm.

Not really. Most of the scientific discourse in my field can be read at http://www.arxiv.org, and for popular science I read whatever I stumble across at journal's websites and on blogs...

Oh yeah. That's what's up! I bought a copy to read it for my amusement, but I was astonished to find  that
Scientology is super sciencey in its scientificulness.

Yes, I'm a theoretical physicist by training, with the Higgs boson, its properties and its relation to higher dimensions etc. as my specialty.  See my LHC thread for Q&A about that topic.

(though currently, I'm mainly working in diaper fluid dynamics.)
