Another lost post
Well, it happened again this morning. It took me a rather long time to compose the response and when I "posted" it it didn't show up in the thread.

http://atheistforums.org/thread-39390.html   Should be #9

What can I be doing that makes the site think I'm trying to slip spam into the thread? I've seen much longer and more complicated posts that seem to go through OK.

BTW to the best of my knowledge I only posted it once. Unfortunately I didn't save it as a draft.

I went back to edit the post, got it back, edited it and re-saved as a draft. It needed another edit so tried to edit it again and save as draft but when I re-tried to edit it when I checked and got the message "The specified draft does not exist or you don't have permission to view it." How can one not have on permission to view something that doesn't exist? SHEESH!!!

This is driving me batshit. I hope you can find it because I'd hate to try to recreate it, in fact I couldn't. Should have saved it to a .doc somewhere.

Thanks again for your help.
Robert

I don't know if you're on a flagged list or if your UN is tripping up the spam filter.

Getting the reds involved...
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

We've resolved this issue for your user account.

It bears repeating for other people though, as I said in my announcement post regarding the new spam detection system, if you make a post and it doesn't appear:

Do not panic, your post is not deleted, but it is automatically hidden. PM a staff member and we will check for you.

Seriously, we try take great care over data here, and as long as your post makes it to the server, it will be stored in some way, even if you cannot see it. Staff have magic powers and can see posts that you can't, so often it's just sitting there, marked as spam, waiting for one of us to approve it.

When you get the matter resolved I need to either get the post returned to me or have it posted for me. There is no way I could possibly recreate it.

Thanks again.

As I've said, the issue is resolved. The post is there at #9, correct? http://atheistforums.org/thread-39390-po...pid1122453
