I was lucky. This particular deathclaw was indoors and I had places (downstairs) I could retreat to and heal.
Made a mess of Piper, though.

I still ran like hell when I saw a glowing deathclaw, though.
Gotta get the Ninja perk and sneak up behind it.
What? It could happen

Fallout 4:
Run away while your companion fights bravely. Wait for AP to regenerate while you hit stimpack and reload your maxed-out combat shotgun. Run into open view, deal 4 headshots, and run away again.
This is how I killed the Mirelurk Queen at like Level 12 or whatever it was. Took like 30 minutes and almost every stimpack I had, but f%#$ tha police, right?
Although in buildings, falling through a hole, letting it follow you, then running back upstairs and chucking grenades through said hole works pretty well, too.

I'm kind of disappointed that Raiders haven't attacked my Fortress of Doom.
Got myself splattered by a Behemoth.
I don't usually wear power armor due to having only one fusion core atm, though I don't know if it would have made a difference here. That thing fucked me up fast. I was just out scavving, not looking for trouble.

Boyfriend got into a really nasty fight between a beheamoth and a deathclaw, once... got butchered... but it totally activated every murderous cell in my body, so I took over for the reload (booted him out of the chair very very very excitedly).
Hit and ran Deathclaw-san into the fenced in area where it could meet Mr. Beheamoth... hyped myself the fuck up on jet while they had themselves a little handshake... then picked up boyfriend's bottlecap mines, and littered them children with the things.
Boom. Boom. Glorious boom. Felt so fucking good. Buried skull-ranked playthings in dust and 200-years out of date mayonnaise.
Never ever ever give me the ability to slow down time around me. I fucking love Jet. Jet is best drug. Nothing else fucking compares with how it feels. Much rush, very wooh, hahaha~
...
Jet makes dead things happen.
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

I have to admit getting revenge on people in F4 is fun.
I fast travel to the nearest community when I decide to do a mission, go into sneak mode and make my way to the quest zone, avoiding areas I haven't explored so I don't get overloaded with crap.
Tried doing so last week. I heard someone call out that they'd spotted me and then the familiar sound of an incoming mini nuke. Bastards.
A number of stimpacks, a lot of expended ammo, and 60 minutes later, real time, and there are around 20 Gunners lying in various dead poses throughout their little base.
Took me two fast travelling tips to get their crap back to Sanctuary Hills before I could continue with my mission.

I had pretty much the same experience clearing
. Originally, I fast travelled directly to the location, whereupon I was immediately ambushed by
. Fail.
After reloading, snuck in from the nearest cleared fast travel point, dispatched the mobs outside the location, went in, got killed by another
, but eventually discovered a defensible location I could sneak into - several hundred rounds of ammo later, that defensible location has all the bad guys stacked like cordwood.
Problem is, now I'm reduced to running around with a 10mm pistol because I burned through the majority of my ammo (except for the minigun).

I have around 3,000 rounds of .308 for my sniper rifle, renamed "Rhae's Lobotomiser".
I also have just over 1,000 rounds each for my combat shotgun and 10 mm pistol.
Since the very first mission I haven't used the minigun, though I'm thinking of taking one on my expedition into the glowing sea.

You've obviously played a lot more than I have.
