Blocking
January 7, 2016 at 3:25 pm
When you block someone on here, what exactly does that do? What can/can't you see from them? People have said blocking does nothing and you can still see their stuff, so I got confused.
I don't intend on blocking anyone, I'm just curious since I know some people have me blocked lol.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Prevents you from seeing their posts.
However if someone quotes them in a post you will see it.

Ah, gotcha.
Can you still see their threads? And what about shoutbox? Can you still see their comments on there?

It also prevents them from sending you PMs.

I really don't know. I've never blocked anyone and rarely use the shoutbox.

I don't think you can see their threads, and I don't think it affects the shout box. I'm staff so I can't ignore people and don't know for sure though!
You can always un-ignore someone so might be worth experimenting. People aren't alerted when they are placed in ignore.

Ok. I'm going to put Min on ignore for a few minutes and see what happens.

Holy smokes, you can still click on "show this post"!
That's too tempting lol. When you see that, you know they responded to you.

Good choice! It would be curious to know who is the most blocked member.
