limericks!
RE: limericks!
I do know music but I tend to count it all in 4/4 time.

Main problem is I often read 2 syllables as if they are one, but I tried very hard to count the syllables in my last limerick, I dunno if you missed it or not.

Yes I noticed . . . your last one was tighter!  Good job!
Don't stress.  Just have fun.   Nobody is grading these!

So Evie decided he couldn't be arsed
And he just wanted to go with his heart
So he stopped counting
And then everyone started frowning
Because "Oh no why the fuck does he have to take part!"

I grade these and all of you failed
Not metered or rhymed, as entailed
In lim'rical verse
Or prose, even worse,
All tortured me until I bailed.

(I'm just kidding, everyone. I love this thread and I really enjoy everyone's work. Just felt like being an art snob for a moment.)
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

This turtle doesn't mind the snobs, it's true
In fact they might actually teach him a thing, or two

What were we limerick-ing about again? I forget.

Mental images of tits are distracting.

A limerick thread on a forum
has a glorious lack of decorum
bits of linguistic sport
of the most common sort
They're silly but oh, we adore 'em.

My limerick skills, yeah they blow
they're boring and bland, just so-so
I won't get applause but
I'm trying because
I don't want this thread to go necro.

I haven't done one in a while and someone here inspired me So ...

There once came a troll to the forums
Who talked lots of trash sans decorum
One day he got banned
By the people he spammed
And a douche he remained in memoriam

*edit*
I just realized mine and the post above both rhymed forum and decorum. That was a coincidence I noticed later.

Not mine but:

There once was a man from Madras
Whose balls were made of brass
In stormy weather, they'd clang together
And sparks shot out of his ass
I am John Cena's hip-hop album.

The Iowa caucus has started
They're mapping out idiocy uncharted
We know if Trump wins
The real circus begins
Either way, we're all broken hearted
