Ok, I am not posting this link to advertise it. But, when I think something is extremely important to the public, I do often share the same opinions on multiple sites.
The thread I am linking here was not started by me, but my responses do contain links to the history of the use of "God" on currency and the pledge. It is even important to believers to understand that they should value government neutrality as well. Please take the time to click on those links to read the history of SCOTUS rulings. Freedom of religion has to include freedom from religion, not to create a godless utopia, but to prevent a monopoly of power putting one religion over all others.
