Our time is limited, so instead of being open to every idea (kinda the gist of the OP, no?) it's best to weed out the most ridiculous claptrap and malarkey first and concentrate on other things that pique your interest and pique your interest from a healthy and rational perspective.

Top of the list of stuff to not bother with:

*Mormonism
*1893 week long debate in the US Congress regarding tariff legislation on 144 thimbles imported from Denmark

Acknowledging this or that aspect of my thinking, and taking a shorthand description for it, is not inherently limiting, nor does it automatically mean that that person "holds back feelings".

There are a lot of presumptions in your post along these lines.
