Hi. I would like to find people that have declared their atheism to the Boy Scouts of America. I have done so to my local BSA council top executives and they have not revoked my membership yet. They appear to be indicating the BSA policy may be changing on banning atheists. Does anyone else have experience with declaring to the BSA and them looking the other way? I am a bit baffled and looking for others in my situation.

Declared Atheists in Boy Scouts

I'll offer a Welcome! Sorry, no experience. Left the scouts before I left religion.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
I'm 50 years beyond boy scout age.... and even then, I was never a member.
So here's a related story....
Slime bucket catholicks want the girl scouts out! http://www.rawstory.com/2016/02/archbish...the-world/ Quote:Archbishop wants St. Louis Catholics to drop the Girl Scouts because they ‘move in the ways of the world’ Meaning that the catholics don't move in the ways of the world.... except when they are molesting kids.
The story on the Girl Scouts is interesting. I will never understand why so much of organized religion want to turn the clock back.
Think about it.
What they call, "the good old days."
I thought the official organization of Boy Scouts finally said they would accept openly atheistic members in 2015? Or was that gay leaders?
I dont know, but good for you. I think each troop can also decide, so if your troop does not care, stay in and keep having fun!
