Last night was the episode where they meet species 8572.
Janeway has done a deal with the devil and is negotiating with the Borg for safe access through the southwest corridor in exchange for nano tech which can nullify the species.
Boy did I crack the shits when it ended saying to be continued!
I fucking hate it when that happens! It happens about half a dozen times in Voyager.,.
Janeway is definitely my favourite with Piquard a close second....
Even the long suffering wife who was made to watch them all with me, in sequence, stops the cooking to watch some poignant moments..
I confess that strong women turn me on but the example you site of Janeway is fucking insane. Kirk showed that kind of audaciousness a few times - but only when his back was up against the wall. I'm sorry but riding a puny Intrepid-class starship into a powerplay against the Borg when you don't have to is just nuts. I think even Worf would have been more prudent.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
