I haven't heard of migrants being given people's homes before, well not in the UK, but they're definitely being prioritised over our citizens to some degree.

For example in my city the social housing list is quite long. People have been waiting on the list for years, but migrants are settled as soon as they get here.

It's all fine helping them out for a bit, but there comes a time when they will have to go home eventually. Plus there's plenty of ME countries they could go to that would probably suit them better.

You haven't heard it because it's bullshit. There are isoltated incidences where people offer to take in some refugees, but that's out of the goodness of their hearts, not because they're forced.

Yeah, but we still weren't even talking about people taking them in, in the first place. We're addressing claims of German(s) being evicted because they're struggling to find space for migrants.

Alex might be better suited to shine some light on it. It didn't make headlines hereabouts, that's for sure. I consider this highly unlikely, since any rightful tenant can't be evicted on short notice. It would be against the laws. In Germany as well as here. Even if you fail to pay your rent, there are at least two months before and order of eviction can be issued.

You don't think, we would have noticed if all of this had happened? We've got our tabloids too, you know, jumping at every opportunity to print something juicy. Yet, there's nothing but the sound of silence.

Btw, I looked that incidfent the telegraph mentioned up. This Gabriele Keller got a new apartment by the community, 30 meters removed from her old one. So, they didn't evict her, but moved her to new digs to repurpose the whole house. Which is business as usual. If communal housing needs space, it's the obligation of the community to offer new housing of equal value. I thought it would be something along these lines, but checked it anyway.

There was this rightwinger video taking a migrant out of context saying "to portugal, never". Even if the video was true, I wouldn't blame him. Things are hard here ATM. Because we portuguese are lazy as greece and Ireland and the rest of the PIIGS.
