Speak for yourself. I use those words to describe women, just as some women use the word "bitch" to describe men. There's not a meaningful difference to most people; it just exists in your SJW head. There's no extra sting by referring to a guy by a part of anatomy he doesn't possess, I mean, why would there be? You're not talking about *his* dick when you call him a dick, you're telling him that he *is* a dick. You are equating him with a piece of anatomy. Same thing with "cunt". You don't have to have one to be called one.

You should watch the "pussies get fucked by dicks, but dicks also fuck assholes" speech from Team America, it's very enlightening on this matter.

*If* you accept that, sure. Personally speaking, when calling someone a "cunt", or a "pussy", I'm not thinking about shaming them or saying that are unclean. I'm just calling them a cunt or a pussy. I like the word "cunt" because it feels forceful, and it's quick and easy to say. It's like the word "fuck".

Besides, in my experience, penises are often dirtier than vaginas, due to their placement.

AND THE DIRTY FORESKINS CUT EM ALL OFF
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Some feminists I've read made the point that the insult does indeed add an extra sting, so to say, when used on a man because it specifically exploits the stigmatisation of female reproductive organs as inherently shameful and unclean. If you accept that, the slur is actually based on misogyny even when used on a man. I don't think the argument is entirely baseless.

It seems like a ridiculous argument to me. The only word a I don't really like is bitch. Mostly just because I hate the word, though. Cunt and dick in my experience are both used for both sexes. I've never heard anyone call someone a cock so I can't really say about that one.

Why do you think the argument is ridiculous?

I just try to call everyone an asshole. Totally gender neutral and still satisfying.

As in "only an asshole calls a woman a bitch", at least in my experience.

Having sat in on a number of colostoma surgeries, I must tell you that your assumption that all assholes are equal is very cis-anally discriminatory.

Why do you think the argument is ridiculous?

Because when you call someone a cunt or a pussy or a dick or an asshole you are not thinking that any of these body parts are offensive or shameful or dirty. You're not thinking about body parts at all. You're using the swear word version. I can't technically speak for everyone else but I don't think anyone else is thinking about body parts either. Just like when I say "fuck that shit" I am not using the terms to mean sex with poop and I am not thinking about sex with poop when I say them. I am using the universal negative "fuck" and "shit" which are both used as swear words to mean pretty much anything we don't like.

Think about this, when you use the word fuck are you promoting the idea that sex is shameful, dirty, or offensive? I don't think so.

No, cuntface -- it's merely that "cunt" is widely considered the most offensive word and so when I think you're being a total cunt and not merely a dick, I say you're a total cunt.

Yes I think perhaps the reason the word "cunt" became accepted as the most offensive in the first place was for sexist reasons, but that does not make the person using the word sexist. I called you a total cunt because I thought you were being a total cunt. I don't give a fuck of the origin of the word, it's not a word only to be directed at females, it's not analogous to the N word.

The part of your quote I bolded is complete bullshit. People don't think it's extra hurtful because it's female. People thought it was extra hurtful because it was female, because our culture used to be significantly more sexist than it is now, hence why it's the biggest insult in the first place. "Thought" not "think". Past tense, numbnuts. I'm using that word now because I think you're a [insert swear word known to be most offensive here].

Let's put it this way, if "cabbage" was the worst swear word in the English language I would have instead said "Wow, you're a total cabbage". And even if that was because the word "cabbage" had originally came to be the most offensive swear word because it originated out of a culture where people are bigoted against cabbages, that would not mean I was being cabbageist and it would be silly for you to insist that I had something against cabbages.
