It's a shame the Trumpeteers don't seem able to absorb the latter point you've made.

First rule of Republican politics: Never, ever admit that a liberal has ever done any good. He could have cured cancer, fostered world peace and eliminated unemployment and they would still refuse to admit he did something right.
There are a number of factors involved(not the least that he's a black man), but one of the big ones is that he stood up for the rights of homosexuals, I mean, infringed on Christian's religious liberty. That's why they call him a tyrant, because he told them they weren't allowed to discriminate based on someone's sexuality. They hate being told they have to accept that homosexuals are people, too.

I actually thought he was a pretty good one. I was never for or against him. I did dislike a few things but that is with anyone, no one is perfect. I think the main issue I have with the health care is making people have it. I like that it is available to everyone and I think it does good but it shouldn't hurt you to not have it. People can decide to not own a car therefore not need car insurance but they can't be an adult and make decisions about their own health?

That goes both ways. You don't say the people you are running against do a good job. I mean, duh.

Irrelevant with republicunts. They run the country into the ground, the deficits into the stratosphere and start wars all over the fucking place. They are not a hard act to follow.

I don't understand what's so hard in admitting he did a good job?

I guess the difference is that you can decide to not own a car and thus not need car insurance, but you can't decide to not have a body. And bodies get injured, and they get sick, and there's no telling when or how badly.

Yes but when it comes to the body that is more personal than law. Who should say what we do to it? I'm big in thinking drugs, alcohol, prostitution, suicide (because of physical issues not depression) abortion, etc should all be legal for adults. I do agree parents should have insurance for minors since the minors can't have it for themselves.
Plus it is their decision to not have insurance for when they get sick. Make it available and if they decide not to that's their decision. Government shouldn't force something like that on an adult.

You imagine sickness as only afflicting those dumb enough to mismanage their health (as in refusing health care when they knew they shouldn't).
You forget:
- what about the people who have to work with that person? Sickness easily spreads through the workforce, severely dampening productivity.
- what about the people in proximity to the people you work with (contagions spread rather well over several people)? Do your coworkers children have to suffer your pigheadedness?
- what about the dependents of that person? Should they suffer the consequences of that decision?
When you get a drivers license, you're forced to have evidence of insurance on penalty of being arrested by a police officer when he pulls you over.
Why is our family unit, social structure and economy held hostage to someone's ill conceived idea to skip health care through not having insurance?
Even simpler, why should I suffer your fucking consequences?

Excuse me I have insurance and I think people should have insurance. What I am saying is that the government shouldn't enforce it. It's not the government's job to police what we do to our own bodies.
