Psalm 137:9
RE: Psalm 137:9
planets have an air about them . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Do.. do you know what an atmosphere is?

I honestly can't tell if you're joking or serious.

Actually I'm being serious! why isn't a liquid layer considered atmosphere? it isn't a solid, things can live there and breath there and the sea on this planet constitutes a definite layer.
The decision to not have liquids as a layer of atmosphere seems arbitrary to me.

It may seem arbitrary, but the definition is:

Quote:An atmosphere is a layer of gases surrounding a planet or other material body of sufficient mass that is held in place by the gravity of the body.

We tend to use words and define things centering around us. Since we can't breathe under water, we dn't consider it atmosphere.

It demonstrates in your opinion that God is malevolent.

Malevolent-having or showing a wish to do evil to others. Just because God commands thing that you consider evil, that doesn't automatically means He wants to evil.

Incompetent-not having or showing the necessary skills to do something successfully. If this is referring to God being all-powerful and not destroying evil, sorry, but just because God hasn't destroyed Evil, that doesn't again, automatically mean He can't.

A god with many faults is not worthy to be called 'god'.

This is also your opinion.

Just as a mass murdering dictator isn't worthy of worship.

God isn't evil when He chooses to get rid of evil people.

Please show me the contradiction in this psalm, I personally do not see one. Genesis and Psalm are both inspired writings, inspired by God himself.

You say that the bible is the word of god and then ignore the parts that seem contradictory. Simply put, bible is not perfect! How can you then assert Genesis is the true word of God if you think Psalm is not?

Just because there are things in the Bible that seem like they contradict each other, that does not automatically mean they do and it certainty doesn't mean that there isn't an explanation. When two verses seem like they contradict each other, try going to a Christian Website an asking. For example Genesis 1 and Genesis  is often presented as a contradiction. If you go onto Carm.org and go over to the left side there's a section called "Bible Difficulties and it will list difficult verses throughout the entire Bible. If you click on the first one, that says Genesis-Deuteronomy the first one to come up is: "1 & 2, Don't Genesis 1 and 2 present contradictory creation accounts?"

Or they do contradict one another and the apologetic argument is created to salvage the contradiction.

Such a mature response. I was hoping you were going to be a reasonable Atheist and actually have a conversation with me. And why would He start with me? I hope you can realize that talking like a moron, including cussing me out for no reason, that doesn't do you any good and it doesn't make you right.  So you can either have a normal mature conversation me or you can continue acting immature and we will never get away and at the end of the day, you will be wrong. So its up to you. Decide.

That's an excuse!! Its pretty typical for atheists to make excuses rather than being open to the truth so Im not surprised. You can say its an excuse all day long, and you can say that the websites is a salvage which I would think means "tries to explain it away". or you could just be reasonable and actually look at the website instead of being ignorant and making assumptions before you've even read it.

I feel as though a "LOL" shall suffice as a response to that.
