On the advice of a friend, I've spent the last few days (more or less) binge-watching Peaky Blinders. I can't recommend it enough.
For those of you who don't know (and I certainly didn't until my friend enlightened me), it's a crime drama centered around the Shelby family in Birmingham from just after WWI through the early 1920s (so far). Cillian Murphy is absolutely chilling as Thomas Shelby, the head of the family, but the entire cast is terrific, as is the writing, acting, mood, music - especially the music. I mean, how wrong can you go with the likes of Nick Cave and PJ Harvey?
