Beautiful bikes.

Band practice this morning.

Did Xtreme Gardening this afternoon, digging up most of the smaller roots around a tree stump that needs to come out -- too close to a fence to do a good job with a stump grinder, although a tree-trimming crew did get some of it. Also transplanted a rose bush from the front yard to a sunny spot in the back yard, and will probably get it a few more rose friends to make a nice grouping there. Only poked myself three times with the thorns (Pro tip: Always wash rose thorn cuts very thoroughly, as they can carry a fungus that can escalate into a nasty infection.)

Saturday night coffee at the bookstore, a bit of shopping, a bit of blogging, and about half an hour watching YouTube videos on uncluttering and minimalism.

How long since your last tetanus vaccination?

Well...definitely posted this in the wrong fucking thread.

Watching the Pens game 2 against the Caps. They stole game 1, but are looking shaky down 2 goals to none on the road in game two.

I was watching the Cavs wrap up the series against the Pacers on the small screen as well. Lazy Sunday, sports and resting after busting my ass in the yard yesterday.

Only about a year -- got one at second-to-last medical checkup at suggestion of the nurse practitioner I saw.  One less thing to worry about.

More gardening today.  I planted out some begonia and dahlia bulbs saved from last year, evicted a catmint plant, cut up some fallen branches, contemplated moving a hosta that would probably be happier in a shadier spot, and rescued untold numbers of derpy ladybugs that kept getting raked up in bundles of leaves.  (Left the leaf bags opens so that any stragglers can see themselves out.)

Going out shortly to recharge my bus pass, and later have some clarinet practice and some cooking planned (Romescu dip and Chinese almond cookies).

Completed the block wall in front of the house, with the exception of the caps, which are on order. Moved 50+ blocks into the back yard for wall work there. The hauling was done by my minions (two youngest sons)- my hands, feet and back are done. Ran the sprinkler/soaker hoses and tested for leaks. Worked fine. Next is a bunch of digging and planting (that's my wife's job). After the cap blocks are on, we'll be getting a truck full of mulch to cover over the soaker hoses.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
