Because that's who he is, by definition.

Where did you get this definition?

And you can't say 1 book... That isn't enough to go on.

If you read your Bibles it kinda shows the Jewish God (OT) and the Christian God (NT) blow their tops at any old thing. God knows what the other part of the trinity is up to, but judgement, wrath and suffering is rife.

First you need to understand the character of God.

First you gotta define supernatural, and hopefully something more than super and not natural.

All the Best.

I just have to say, that you have one of the best names on here.

I reject that definition as 'meaningless'. Besides homosexuality is still love and we know all too well which side of the fence your god concept stands on in that particular topic.

Why does God love us? Because we exist?

The culmination of the religious endeavour of mankind.

You are at liberty to do so.

I don't think we do.

Right you've said God is love because God is love over and over again.

Now prove it.

God isn't love because God is love WC, he is love because we worked that out.

This is why so many people think you're such a dickhead, Fr0do. You already know what the next question is, so why not answer it? You can't say 'He is love because we worked that out' and expect somebody to be satisfied when they've been asking you to back up your statements. I know you are uncomfortable with evidence but that's what you have to provide.

Like I say, you already know what the next question is to that post, and you could help the discussion flow if you chose to elaborate on statements like the one above. By not doing so, I can only assume you are deliberately seeking to derail and wind up for no reason.

You're not giving me the proof I'm asking for. Demonstrate god is love and all the things he's done for me or go away.

Actually, you've never given me a single good reason to believe there is a god out there, let alone a kind and loving one...

There is more evidence that god means division and hatred than love. The story suggests one thing while reading in another. Bait and switch, destruction of man, bad, bad, bad.
