Kavanaugh is being rushed in, and that's clearly political maneuvering on part of the Republicans. If the Democrats have done maneuvering, its in response to this rushed process.

My point was that his confirmation process has not been "rushed." The fact is that we have the separation of powers, and the executive branch has claimed executive privilege on some of the documents, nothing can be done about it. He's already turned over more documents and answered more questions than all other SCOTUS nominees combined. That's fact.

From the beginning, when Kavanaugh made his nomination acceptance talk claiming Trump's vetting of him went further than any prior President's, he revealed himself a partisan liar.

Very quickly questions arose concerning his lying to Congress in prior occasions giving testimony.

This tirade of absolute denial and partisan pleading reveals he's a whiner with no wisdom or self control.  Never mind teenage transgressions; he's bereft of the necessary character to take a seat on the SCOTUS.  John Roberts must be in agony that a turkey like this could wind up on his court.

Impossible to know. Maybe Sotomayor has 100,000 documents hidden with executive privilege. Perhaps Kavanaugh does as well. We'll never know in either case, because president's have executive privilege and can release what they feel is relevant.

What I want to know is if Sotomayor had 5,000 to be released or if the available documents was a much higher number. Of the possible documents, how many made it to the senate for review? If Bush released 42,000, but the available documents were 342,000, then the percentage released is not very impressive. Also, if Bush released the documents, but Trump blocked them, that that's something I'd also need clarification on.
