May all those people appreciate it when someone else value the comfort of a rat on par with their life and wellbeing.


Valuing the life of one animal that has not even the remotest theoretical and most general of possibilities of reciprocating the favor in a practical way on par with that of another that does have a moderate probability of gratitude and reciprocation is not on the whole a formula for evolutionary success.

I find it rather obscene to spent $4K to prolong the life of a cat if one could have helped humans dying for the want of ability to afford $4K of medical care.
