Well...’hate’ may have been too strong a word. I just find them annoying and I prefer not to be around them.

Doesn’t surprise me, though - Ellen’s got lousy taste in people. I mean, look what she married.

Working on a jigsaw puzzle I gave up on over a year ago.  Made some progress but it's now apparent that at least two pieces are missing that I had hoped would appear during the time it was on ice.  

I thought it would be good to direct my general frustration with all the misinformation thrown at me to finishing that damn puzzle.  

Never had the patience for those.

I put on headphones and listen to podcasts or music.  I used to cross stitch a lot or do other hand sewing projects.  Jigsaw puzzles and sewing can be sort of a zen thing for me.

NSW and QLD among others have now secured their state borders.
As some may remember, I've sold my house and will be moving in 6-8 weeks.

I will secure a rental in north QLD (Hervey Bay). I will be stopped at the borders to explain.
They can't stop me from driving home. (to my new home there as I will be technically homeless otherwise)
Which is why I'm trying to secure a house there asap before the authorities click and change their minds and then I'll be stuck in Vic for another 2 bloody years.

Okay, so I write for Anglotopia. I wrote an article about Liam Gallagher deciding to make hand-washing videos for his fans. It went up today, but a very bizarre thing happened. Yesterday, I posted my reaction to the trailer for The Plot Against America to the Random Thoughts thread. If you read this, you'll notice I talked quite a bit about the fact that their Pledge of Allegiance scenes weren't historically accurate. I even included this video to show what would be historically accurate (and while it did change shortly after the timespan of the novel, the main thrust of the novel/miniseries involves an alternate history where Charles Lindbergh gets elected president as an isolationist, and since it was the anti-isolationists who helped push the controversy, there's no way in Hell Lindy would have changed it).





And somehow, when I went to write that article hours later, I decided to compare and contrast Liam's approach with the Wash Your Lyrics memes, and when I tried to link to that site, I somehow linked to a screenshot of that video (not even the video itself, the screenshot) and didn't notice until it had come up. It has since been fixed.

Also, it turns out that my psychiatrist (not to be confused with my therapist) has tested positive for COVID. That said, I haven't seen him since December 12.

I had the inevitable argument with my boss today.

He was happy for me to go on the course I've just been on but he wants me to be backup to any teams dealing with the outbreak here, not dealing directly with patients.

To be fair, he's looking out for me because my immune system is compromised due to an ongoing condition I have.

But if this goes like it has gone in other countries (which I don't think it will) I want to do my part, not be on the "B" team.
