Wow, given what's been happening in India, all I have to say is best of luck to ya.
There is a healthcare provider in New Orleans that specializes in providing medical services to vessel crewmen who come into port. They have secured Johnson & Johnson vaccine doses that will be available on May 13th and May 19th (with future dates likely), so it's mostly a question of getting the necessary information from the ship Captains for each crewman who will receive the vaccine, submit that to the provider, get the ship owners to confirm in writing that they will be responsible for the coordination and transportation costs, and arrange CBP permission for crew without U.S. Visas to disembark for this service.
Since writing my post above, I now have three more ships also seeking crew vaccinations, so this is shaping up to be my new main focus at work this week.
Yeah, what's happening in India (and elsewhere) these days is awful. I'm glad to play even a small role in helping them have a little peace of mind when their contracts expire and they return home.
