Quote:Scholars look for Israelite history by other means because the writings don't conform to normal thinking.
Scholars look for confirmation because the writings are contradicted by the findings of archaeological research and historical reality from other cultures in the region.

We know all that info you posted. There is an archaeologist on the team. He confirms you input. The writers of the bible don't conform to Western ideas and processes. Historians can't use the writings. Many would be archaeological items would no longer exist today. They didn't keep time as Westerners do. We don't use the book to determine Israelite history. We analyze the religion not the history. The important part of their religion is that "their" God was a spiritual, not physical or material which makes their religion different then other the other tribes. That's our concern.

You were doing ... ehh ...OK until I got to "spiritual". This means you believe in fairy tales. Just checking, thanks.
You do have, or are a spiritual- yes/no
You are not the physical, you are the spiritual. There's no such thing as Human material. The physical cannot be human---it is material. yes/no

Materialistic people have material things for God---or the basis of their thinking/being, and their relations are based on material recognitions rather the directly spiritual. Their God denoted--something not material. The term "God" covers a bit of territory. It can be used to as force, person, a people collectively, leaders of a religion, leaders of a government, a prophet, government, one's own self, the persons of others. It depends upon how it is used in a passage/sentence. Over time they became materialistic, then their understanding became lost. That is to say- their religion changed from spiritual to materialism, and they became like the other tribes.

Given the prevalence of material burial customs throughout our history(and prehistory), it would be difficult to argue that any dividing line between the spiritual and material worlds was truly proposed for anything but the most recent and brief period of time. Their god walked in the garden. He spoke to people, guided the sun, dropped mana from the heavens. No, this god lived right here on terra firma until the faithful realized that no one was buying it. Then that fucker just had to die..lol. The bible is a collection of religious myth, legend, fable, and erotic poetry ffs. If there was ever a factoid buried in the pages it's lost forever. Buried under embellishments and edits.
