I think it is extremely unlikely that any extent shark species is anywhere near as old as Polaris or the rings of Saturn.
the shark family, probably, but the shark family is mostly made up of species that went extinct hundreds of millions of years ago.
Yes, 'family' would have been a better term. It's not sensibly arguable though, that there were sharks before there were rings 'round Saturn, and LONG before there was Polaris.

I look forward to the day when people are mad because they cannot clutter the roads with their vehicles due to petrol shortages.

I usually go out through the back side of the subdivision and use a little road that isn't in great shape but it keeps me off the main bumper to bumper roads and I pass behind the suburb next to us on my way to the office on my weekly trek.
They are closing that road next month to put in a straight shot with a bridge (it's currently an S curve with a tendency to flood). Construction is to take 18 months so multiply that by two at least.
It will double my time on the road and mean I don't get to travel down one the most scenic roads in the area. It's a narrow road and isn't in the best shape but is nearly a tunnel due to the trees on each side that arch over the roadway and there is occasionally a herd of cows at the far end that are pretty cool looking in that they are two colors with one color being a solid band around the middle. It's a lovely drive to watch the seasons change (at least as much as they do here). I am not happy.
I have less than a month to enjoy this little drive. sigh

Speaking of roads, the city of Clearwater is developing more overpasses that will close down more businesses on the side.
